Razer is among the most popular peripheral manufacturers for PC gamers. The company also ships the Razer Synapse suite, which can be deployed to personalize the experience of accessories like mice and keyboards. We'll take a quick look at how you can get started with the software and set up new profiles.
First things first, though: you'll need to plug in your shiny new Razer toy and download the Synapse suite. It doesn't matter whether you have a mouse, keyboard or both — everything that can be configured will use the same software.
Great! We're now good to go. One thing you will need to decide on as we mess around with settings and whatnot is whether you'll want to create a Razer Account. Doing so will unlock cloud-saving functionality, allowing you to log into your Razer Account on another PC and pull down these profiles we'll have set up. It's not mandatory, but is handy if you switch between computers.
Customizing your Razer keyboard couldn't be easier. Having profiles for different games and software can help remove the requirement to fine tune the experience should you happen to be switching back and forth. It also means you only have to configure all your macros once.
Name the new profile. (Tip: I use game titles.)
Linking the profile to a specific program will cause Razer Synapse to load up the settings of this profile when the target software is launched. For example, as shown in the screen shots here, should League of Legends launch and be detected by the suite, the 'LoL' profile will be loaded as it's configured to launch alongside League of Legends.
Likewise with the mouse, there's nothing more bothersome than having to re-do all your button customizations and fine-tuning the sensitivity when switching between games. Some prefer a more sensitive experience in first-person shooter games, only then to lower sliders when hopping into DOTA2. Setting up profiles in Synapse will help make it a seamless transition.
Name the new profile. (Tip: I use game titles.)
You're all set! You can now configure and made alterations to individual profiles without affecting how the mouse performs in games and software with dedicated profiles.
The import and export functionality is for local back-ups and restoration. You can move these files around with you, which is ideal for LAN events and should you need to update profiles on another PC. Razer also allows for a Tournament Drivers installer to be created using Synapse, which contains profiles, settings and macros that have been configured. Simply take this file with you and install it on a PC to load up all your personalizations.
That said, if you do wish to make things that little bit easier, then be sure to set up a Razer Account. It only takes a minute and everything will subsequently be saved to the cloud for convenient retrieval. All you need to do to get started is to hit the arrow in the top right-hand corner and you'll be able to either register a new account or log into an existing one.

Pros: Had the keyboard over 6 years and everything still works like new
Keys are very easy to set up
Cons: Nothing i disliked about this produc, Other then the 7 keys under the spacebare take a bit more to clean this keyboard is great
Pros: -Virtually an unlimited amount of MKs you can make for any MMO game you play, or non MMO game.
-RAZER makes the light from the keyboard look natural, and not forced.
-Typing like a champ is no problem with this Anansi keyboard.
Cons: -Software to control the light has to be found online, but is easy to find!
Other Thoughts: Not going to lie, going to get another one of these for my other computer!
Pros: this is my favorite keyboard ever
the price is unbeatable
it changes colors
it has extra buttons for those of us that need those few extra keybinds
Cons: nothing
Other Thoughts: $60.. great keyboard
Pros: Many macro keys
USB cable is very long
Customizable backlight
Key caps are easy to take apart & clean
Cons: It won' t="" cook="" dinner="" for="" me="">
Pros: Keys feel solid, and is able to take a certain amount of abuse. Some say it's large, but it fits my larger than average hands quite well. Mod Keys on the left are pretty easily configurable with the Synapse software, and drivers are kept up to date pretty easily. Mod Keys on the bottom are pretty accessible as well, but very sensitive. I've found myself hitting them on accident quite often, but may not bother others.
Cons: I'm typing this cons section without any useof the bckspacebutton. This should give you an idea of how often the missed keystroks are. Some say that drivers will fix the issue, but I have kept my drivers up to data nd am still seeing this issue. akes typing passwords VRY annoyingly hard. It almost seems as if the faster you type, the more often the missed keys will occur. Being consistent with the keys aslo is difficult because sometimes the keys end up showing up late. No support on this issue that I know f.
Other Thoughts: I think the Shift key changes the lighting to an alt key, but I think that might be where the missed keystroke problem originates from. I've had issues with other key combinations like Ctrl-Alt-Del or Windows+R. Not being able to guarantee that keystrokes will make it to the system kills realtime response uses such as gaming. Slows Programming and text editing to an abysmally annoying crawl. Almost better off using a typewriter.
Pros: I use mine mostly to play FPS games and have never had it remap or keys stick. Very good response time and remapping a breeze.
Cons: Paint on keys is starting to where off on some of the more used ones. Some of the lighting changes do not make much of a difference in a dark unlit room.
Other Thoughts: Great keyboard overall.

Pros: Thumb-activated mod keys, tough keyboard, works for three years and counting.
Cons: Rather large.
Other Thoughts: The thumb keys are amazing both for gaming keybinds and for office work - I'm an English teacher, so I need to hit Ctrl+Alt+M a *lot* for commenting in MS Word, and this keyboard saves my left hand the trouble of making the Borg Claw (seriously - put your pinky on Ctrl and your thumb on Alt, then freeze your hand and turn it around to look at it) about three thousand times per semester.
More importantly, this keyboard has survived countless Gamer Tantrums and Windows Update Ambush Tantrums without so much as popping a key. Three years and going strong.
Pros: You can use it to write on.. The text on the keys is ok. That's about it.
Cons: Never buy it. NEVER buy this useless thing. Really bad quality and unrealiable keys. I lost 5+ cs:go matches because of this keyboard.
Slippery keys. Hard to clean. Bad placement of extra keys.

Say goodbye to the days of fumbling with your awkward key binds in the middle of a hectic boss fight or PVP skirmish. Seven thumb-based modifier keys allow you to increase the number of commands you are able to execute from your current ±12 ability keys to seven times that number, allowing you to both instantly and effortlessly actuate every possible in-game spell or ability and still have room for dozens of your own custom macros.
The Razer Anansi's fully-programmable keys allow you to further expand your repertoire of boss-killing macros, giving you total control with convenient and instantaneous command executions. In addition, you can switch between up to 20 profiles for each game or avatar at the press of a button.
Whether it's vanquishing your adversaries or preparing for your next quest, the five additional gaming macro keys on the left side of the Razer Anansi let you easily access extra abilities and commands such as switching equipment presets and buffing your team mates.
Razer Synapse 2.0 is cutting-edge, intuitive software that functions as the Razer Anansi's brain, automatically syncing the gaming keyboard to a cloud server to download driver and firmware updates, while saving your individual settings. Sync your custom settings and macros automatically with this unified configurator, allowing customization of all your Razer products with a single login.
Pros: Solid construction on the frame.
Cons: 1. Extremely dim backlighting. Even when it was set to its maximum brightness, you couldn't tell whether it was a backlit keyboard unless it was in the dark.
2. Very heavy key strokes. I do a lot of typing. And the very worst part of this keyboard was that I would have to go back over my work, and find the letters that did not appear because the key strokes just were not heavy enough.
Other Thoughts: This keyboard was HORRIBLE! I have worked with computers since 1982, and this was the very worst keyboard I have ever used. It has completely jaded me to anything manufactured by Razer.
CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Pros: Using this with Razer's software to customize any and everything is really fantastic
Cons: The keys, most notably the 'E' key, is wildly sticky and inconsistent. It'll hit maybe 1 out of 4 times, and at that point it may hit 3 times. Just awful. Forums say that it is likely a software issue, so I'll try it again once in a while after updates are available and there have not been any changes.
Other Thoughts: Such potential, but entirely unusable
Pros: Bought this keyboard looking to get something a bit better for my needs. Wasn' t="" disappointed="" with="" the="" program-ability="" and="" the="" feel="" of="" the="" keys.="">
Cons: My keyboard exhibited a very similar set of issues as another review's, with the E key malfunctioning. Sometimes it would 'double-tap' and I'd typee things likee this, other times it wouldn't work at all. Somewhat frustrating.
Also, I really don't like Razer Synapse, the software that razer's products use to 'store your configuration in the cloud.' You have to create an account with an email address, and in the month and a half I've had razer products that use synapse, I've had to reboot my PC at least half a dozen times for either product updates (yes, the updates to synapse require reboots) or because the settings reverted to the factory state and a reboot got the settings back to normal. Other then synapse, this is a good keyboard, with some decent macroing options
Pros: enjoy the feel of the keyboard
keys function well
on the fly macro recording
Cons: none if you get a good one, the one I got refuses to light up and the anansi drivers don't even recognize it as an anansi keyboard.
Other Thoughts: unfortunately mine does not light up. highly suggest getting the warranty on this one.
Pros: Backlight is bright.
Cons: Need two keys to change volume
Pros: Looks and operates factory new (comparing to my son's previous new Anansi purchase) at 1/2 the price! No manual or software shipped but no matter. ALL functions operate perfectly and extremely pleased with purchase. I did elect to go for the ext warranty for $7.00 giving me 15 mths total. Would recommend to go this route and save monies. At least in my case, win-win!! LOVE the cool colors, ye-ha..
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Great buy and will look for refurb for future purchases. Thanks NewEgg!
Pros: programmable keys are easy to assign with on-screen software;
the back-lighting is excellent and the adjustments are easy and intuitive;
well organized as I would expect from Razer; for gaming this is a very nice keyboard
Cons: Typing with this keyboard is an exercise in frustration. The keys require significant, positive pressure to register especially when using the shift key. The back-light color changes when the shift key is pressed. That's a clever feature, however, it may be that the change of color causes a delay that accounts for the difficulty with using the shift key when typing. That is just a conjecture though. If the software included a sensitivity adjustment for the keys this would be an incomparable keyboard.
Other Thoughts: I have owned a Razer Naga mouse for several years and love it. If I weren't having much annoyance with typing I would be equally ecstatic about this keyboard. I now have this keyboard, the Razer Naga and, my main gaming keypad, the Logitech G13. I play World of Warcraft regularly and now have more programmable keys for macros and spells than I could wish for. If only I could type quickly!
Pros: best gaming keyboard ever had
looks like a brand new razer anansi
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: i love it
no problems what so ever
